Program of
Work
2005
For 2005 it will be business
as usual for the Wayne Area Chamber of Commerce as we will continue to
focus on our six primary objectives which include; Promoting the Community,
Encouraging Success in Business, Looking Out for the Interests of Business,
Facilitating Partnerships, and Educating Concerning Business Topics.
Over the next
year, we will also promote economic development for both our city and rural
areas. We will continue our efforts in securing viable funding sources for the
Chamber of Commerce, retention of current businesses in the community,
attracting new business to the community, adding new member to the Chamber of
Commerce, investing in programs that promote education, agribusiness, and
community leadership (believing that the quality of people in our communities
will ultimately determine our area's future success).
Over the next
year we will continue our efforts in combining the Wayne Area Chamber of
Commerce, Wayne Industries Inc., and Wayne Main Street under one umbrella to
insure the financial health of organizations, elimination of duplicative
services and selecting one full-time director of this new highbred
organization. When the proposed plan
for reorganization of our three organizations is established each of the three
original organization's membership will vote on the proposal prior to it's'
implementation. The membership of each
organization will determine if the proposed mergers put into place.
